This is a quick drawing I made with chalk of the rock of Gibraltar and the sea around it. It is 8x11 paper and I signed it as I usually do when I make art, and photographed it, and uploaded it, and posted it to this blog of mine today 12th Nov 2015. In fact, I made, signed, photographed, uploaded and posted ALL on this blog since its beginning. Copyrighted. I drew this big cat with the edge of a metal palette knife after I had coated the paper with a clay and wax mixture. I was experimenting with making pastels using commercially prepared clay [for making clay objects] and mixing it with melted wax. I added the brown coffee water I had prepared by pouring boiling water over coffee grounds to the clay-wax mix to darken it from an earthy red to a slightly browner color. Then when the clay dried, I used the edge of a metal palette knife to scrape off the clay in a pattern to resemble a big cat in a cage. This is the very first time I ever attempted either to make wax-clay background and to make what is labeled "scratch art" which means scratching the design into a clay or wax background. it was a nice change from my usual methods of painting watercolors, acrylics, oils,tempra, gouche; and drawing with pencils, pens, dip pens, charcoal, graphite, watercolor pencils, chalk. By experimenting with different mediums I have discovered that brushing alum water over chalk sets it and changes the texture to smooth and makes it similar to watercolor. And also that I can make my own pastel sticks by scraping off pigment from chalk and mixing it with either sure-gel fruit pectin or wax, So, my experiments are fun and I do them when I am bored with making art and need a chalenge of some sort. I scratched my name into this drawing on the left hand sign also with edge of palette knife. Copyrighted. Second notice of copyright infringement and identity theft: Google alerted me that a company that is totally unknown to me stole a graphics file of mine that I made and in which I signed my real name using digital ink and a mouse on a computer software program and I included my Registered Nurse status [licensed in Missouri] and my status as artist and photographer from off a bluff of mine; and that those ID thieves posted that file [or copy of it--I have the original file] to a site they made for p-o-r-n. ALL art that I create is moral and decent and may be viewed by anyone of any age in any country. It is for general audiences. The name of the company that stole my signature in digital ink to post to their site as a way of trying to ruin me is pix-collection dot com, and they created a subdomain that had photos of people I have never seen before that they attached my name and professional status as RN, too. . I have notified the @FBI, @Google and banks and the public that I do not know the owners of pix-collection dot com as far as I know but I suspect my 2nd exhusband in Colorado has something to do with it since he has been trying to annihilate me from life and the web since 2005. I have NOT and do NOT authorize pix-collection dot com to use my name, nor my signature via any method, nor any file of mine, nor any photo or art work I ever made at any time in my life, nor do I authorize them to withdraw money from any account of mine, nor use my physical address, nor my telephone numbers, nor any account of mine anywhere.
