Sparky Dog sketches by Gloria Poole of Missouri and Georgia

I drew and painted, signed this sketch last evening while 'watching " TV. Actually, usually I listen and watch a few minutes, then start drawing. Drawing is relaxing to me and so I draw often when I am lying down to rest.  I named this "Sparky" because of the golden-red color. This is watercolor 8 x 11 on paper except the white in his eyes is acrylic paint. This is the second dog sketch I have drawn and painted and the first one is below.  I photographed it today and uploaded it today 15 August, 2014 to this blog of mine. FYI, I also uploaded a different but new sketch I created today  of "First Lesson of ballet" to another blog of mine today at https://lifes-entertainment.blogspot.com.

First sketch of a dog I ever  created and it was  in year 2012 and  I named it 'woof". I wanted to name it "Rambo" after a tiny fluffy dog that lives in my apartment complex but thought they might not appreciate that.  Every time I hear the owners of "Rambo" calling him, I dissolve into hysterics. It's truly funny!  It is acrylic on paper .  I have both of these sketches  on paper in my possession.

For the record and to clarify who I am because this past week has  had several attempts by cyber-criminals to hijack emails of mine, telephones of mine and blogs of mine: I, Gloria Poole, owner of this blog and account and its content, and my name, and my art I ever created anywhere, am a white, Southern Baptist Christian woman, and the natural mother of two grown daughters who are Jennifer and Leigh [but no sons]. I am also a Registered Nurse licensed in Missouri, an artist in all mediums, a University of Georgia alum, a poet, author, blogger, writer, photographer, citizen journo, prolife activist, personhood amendment promoter, cartoonist at times, illustrator, republican, U S citizen born in the state of Georgia.  For more about me you can read the blog I still have in my former married name of https://gloriapoolepappas.blogspot.com but remember I am divorced now; and also read my blog in my real, legal, born with name at https://gloriapoole.blogspot.com. I removed the Pappas name from my name at the time of second divorce  [from male DBP] when the final decree was signed by District Court Judge in Arapahoe County Colorado; and I resumed my full maiden name at the same time in Oct 2007 including my surname I was born with of Poole.  I moved to Missouri on oct 31, 2009 with my possessions including art I had created and three cell phones I had acquired there and acquired more phones also in Missouri . There are several reasons why I have several phones but one of the most important one is for my sense of safety since my 2nd exhusband DBP made many threats to kill me. I want to always have working phones to call 911 if need be.

Things in nature sketches by Gloria Poole of Missouri and Georgia

This sketch is a kumquat tree blooming but without the kumquats. I , Gloria Poole, drew, painted, signed, photographed and uploaded this from camera yesterday but added it to this blog today 30 July 2014. It is acrylics on paper 8 x11.

This sketch of greatly exaggerated in size strawberry is one I drew painted signed photographed uploaded in May this year to another blog of mine but it is something that also grows wild . Of course, it is often cultivated . I love strawberries

This sketch of a red rose is acrylics on 14 x 17 paper in one of my sketch books. I drew, painted signed photographed uploaded this earlier to another blog post but am adding it here also to make a point that roses often grown wild in nature. Of course many people cultivate them in their yards, but I have seen roses growing in uncultivated places so I know they grow wild also.

This sketch of a panda in the wild among bamboo shoots is one I created years ago when I was experimenting with a graphics art program [application on my then computer] and it is digital only.  I think the year was about 2008 or 2009 and I have the software I created it with still on a computer and I have the sketch saved in several places. It honestly didn't occur to me that I could sign this with digital ink at that time.  I have created about 1100-1200 pieces of art using tangible methods and probably 20 in digital ink with a software program. Of the 20 in digital ink, I only signed one of those 20 because I wasn't practiced at writing precisely with a rough sort of tool.

"Green apples" sketch which is signed by me but the signature didn't make it into the photo. I have also photographed this again with the signature and I think I posted it to my tumblr acct https://gloriapoole.tumblr.com.  I think my brain is lop-sided now [from concussions]  since it takes very much effort for me to align perfectly any thing on those metal clips on my portable drawing board.  So, when I am not trying to align something, it seems the photo is better. I do photograph quite often and I post some of those photos intermittently to my blog https://gloriapoole.blogspot.com and to online albums of mine.

Also, about sketch in previous post named "hanging by a thread" : it was not about me but about those nations of world where civil war is raging, and love, and security and food is lost and liberty is hanging in the balance as people fight regimes that are oppressive and murder innocent people.  Some people assumed it was about me.

"Swimming pool sketch 1" by Gloria Poole of Georgia [at that time I lived in Atlanta metro for 11 years].

"Swimming pool" sketch 2 by Gloria Poole of Missouri , 2014, watercolors on 9 x 12 watercolor paper. This is second time I sketched a swimming pool. The first time was about 1999 in Georgia [where I lived MOST of my life].

I,  Gloria Poole, currently residing in Missouri but born in state of Georgia, drew these sketches, painted them , signed them, photographed them and uploaded them to this blog of mine. They are simply practicing for me, but I like sharing [to view only --not to allow stealing of them] with the world.  These are clipped to my portable drawing board.

Heading into river sketch by Gloria Poole of Missouri

Heading into the river sketch by Gloria Poole of Missouri, 12 July 2014, acrylics on watercolor paper 9 x 12 inches.

I, Gloria Poole, RN, artist of Missouri, wanted this sketch to look as if I was seated in a tri-hull motor boat headed into the river that sort of curves around the bend. In my first marriage, we had a tri-hull motor boat with an 85 hp Mercury outboard motor on it. That boat could almost fly across the water! I loved that boat.  Some of the best times of my life, were on that boat, or skiing behind it, or swimming after jumping overboard.  There is a huge lake in northeast Georgia and this sketch reminds me of it. I spent some happy hours on that lake. My daughters Jennifer and Leigh were very young then, and Jennifer learned to ski the first time she tried at age FIVE, and skiied literally all around the lake with her daddy driving the boat, and me watching nervously from the back to pull her in if she fell. She didn't. I was amazed!

For the record: I am a white, single again, Southern Baptist Christian woman and the mother of only two children who are grown daughters named Jennifer and Leigh; and an artist in all mediums, a poet, author, photographer, writer, blogger, prolife activist, Registered Nurse licensed in Missouri and republican.

Race horse sketch w pencil drawing by Gloria Poole of Missouri and Georgia:Updates

race-horse-sketch-by-gloriapoole-of_Missouri-23-June-2014
Race horse sketch by Gloria Poole / Gloria / gloriapoole / artist-gloriapoole  of Missouri 23 June 2014 as it looks finished painted second time with acrylics.  It is the same sketch that began as the pencil drawing below, and this acrylic version is the 4th iteration of it. I removed the crowd from the news photo [not the actual photo, just as I drew it] and I painted in trees in background so race course would look like in rural land, and I changed the colors of the jockey shirt and cap and the number of the horse and jockey. I did this in 'steps" of creating the final sketch so that viewers can see the process I often use. I often do this same process but I usually only photograph the final version, of it when i consider it finished. Also, I painted over my original in pencil signature and signed it again . I made the background of blue grass since a famous horse race is run in Kentucky the blue grass state and their grass does look blue from distance. I have sketched other horses [about 12-13 times} and I put the sketches on various blogs, including https://mini-exhibition.blogspot.com and some on http://gloriapoole1749.wordpress.com; and some on https://gloriapoole.blogspot.com, and maybe other blogs of mine also.

Sometimes I paint with a brush without drawing or sketching it first, but usually that is when I have sketched something [a particular subject ] enough times to be very familiar with it. See the pencil drawing below and also the underpaintings times 2 in watercolors.

Update 2 23 June 2014 at 8:04 am by me Gloria Poole to add underpainting #2 to this post. As you see from comparing these photos of the same sketch at various stages of progress, you see that I am correcting the proportions some and developing the background. This version is in watercolors still as the proportions of the horse are still not quite accurate, and the horse's head is not correct either. I will continue to make corrections to this and then re-paint it in acrylic [which is a more permanent medium. ]. Also, you see that I am gradually adding background to it, trying to decide how I want the finished version to look.  I am putting this as it develops because some cyber-criminals who stole some of the photos I photographed of genre scenes and of  art I created, tried to fool other people with them telling them they were theirs. Criminals stealing via the internet are common ordinary thieves and nothing special about them.  I am not talking about "fair use doctrine" of copyright. I do not object to people quoting me and recognize my right to also do that. I am talking about those who consistently steal original art to use it to steal emails and domains and set up fake facebook pages to steal someone's identity.  Read other update and original post below this paragraph for better understanding.

Update at 3:46pm. The second sketch is the underpainting of the above pencil drawing. When I try to enlarge it to larger  size the criminals at remote who break into my acct try to move the photo to different place.  I painted the underpainting in watercolors this after noon trying to decide how I wanted it to look.  It may not look at all like this when I re-paint it in acrylics.

I, Gloria Poole, drew this sketch from a news photo and I wrote in my notes to myself so when I paint it, I will have authentic looking backgrounds.  I usually draw in ink or pencil what I intend to paint, but not always. Some times I just pick up brush and start painting on blank canvas.  I also signed this but will re- sign it when I paint it.  This is 14 x 17 sketch book and is fastened to my portable drawing board.  This is graphite drawing pencil so you have to look close to see it. Since I paint over it, I usually draw in light lines that won't be visible in painting.

I am putting the drawing first because a lot of people at remote locations [cyber-criminals and criminal stalkers]  stole photos that I photographed of art I created since 2006 to use those to steal domains and emails that belonged to me.  I wrote quite a bit about that recently on these blogs of mine:

And I tweeted to the @FBI on one of my twitter accts @gloriapoole to ask for help removing cybercriminal-stalker-thugs from any and all accounts of mine on web.  Some of those cybercriminal stalkers broke into my landline telephone when I was on a phone call to a person who has a T-Mobile cell phone, and they inserted malware to disable the receiver [they malware into the audio] on the phone [but not the speakerphone on it] and I suppose they thought that would force me to call outloud any bank card numbers. It won't.  Those cyber-criminals who have a telephone number ending in 03 also hijacked a gmail account of mine, and tried to hijack my blog https://mini-exhibition.blogspot.com.  These are not the only blogs I have and not the only way I display art I create or photographs I photograph on the web. I have online albums that showcase my art and photos at:

Also, for the record, I am a white, single again woman and Christian, U S citizen, mother of two grown daughters who are jennifer and leigh; an author, poet, artist in all mediums and a Registered Nurse licensed in Missouri [and for most of my life in state of Georgia also].

Eagle landing sketch by Gloria Poole of Missouri 5 June 2014
"Eagle landing" sketch by Gloria Poole / artist-gloriapoole / Gloria / gloriapoole of Missouri 5 June 2014; acrylics on 9x12 paper.
This sketch is one of eagles that I have created intermittently since about 2007. Eagles are majestic birds but they are birds of prey. People forget that sometimes. This is acrylics on paper 9 x 12 inches in size. it started as a watercolor sketch [and drawing first of course] but I the watercolors were too translucent for it so I repainted it in acrylics.  To see the other eagle sketches I drew painted, created w/ some method scroll back through "older posts" on this blog to the March 9th of this year post.

Hi 5 x 2 dummy, cartoon by Gloria Poole of Missouri; 9-May-2014 ; acrylics.

This is what happens to you if you use drugs to alter your mind whether they are legal by prescription or illegal.  Just say NO to hallucinogenic, mind-altering, psycho-inducing , stuff. Don't be a wooden head dummy!
(Huge text on purpose so you can't miss the meaning).

I drew this, painted it, signed it, photographed it and uploaded it to make a point.  Posted by me Gloria Poole of Missouri and Georgia; at my apt in Missouri, 9-May-2014 at 3:59pm.
